Good practices today can provide a brighter tomorrow!

Here’s a Fact…

85% of an estimated 12.8 Million Tons of discarded clothing last year could have been recycled, this means that 10.9 Million Tons of recyclable textiles were still needlessly dumped into our countries landfills.

These textiles could have been recycled to make new carpets, auto air filters, couches and even building materials.  Instead the textile industry will produce new replacements and introduce more pollutants.

We must be more self-aware and make a conscious effort to recycle our used materials.

Textile recycling creates much-needed environmental benefits; some such benefits include:

  • Reduced landfill mass.
  • Reduced use of natural resources.
  • Reduced volume of waste water.
  • Reduced chemical use.
  • Reduced energy consumption.
  • Reduced need for the production of new materials.
  • Reduced emissions.
